Frequently asked questions

Everything about how LabMatch works, what it costs and how dentists and laboratories collaborate remotely.

About LabMatch

What is LabMatch?

LabMatch is a remote dental design marketplace. Dentists use it to find, compare and work with verified digital dental laboratories online. The entire workflow — enquiry, quote, file sharing, payment and delivery — happens inside the platform.

Who is LabMatch for?

General dentists who want to outsource digital design work, and dental laboratories that offer remote CAD/CAM design services such as crowns, bridges, implants, surgical guides and orthodontic setups.

Is LabMatch only for remote work?

Yes. LabMatch is built for 100% remote dental design. Laboratories can list themselves as remote-only, and scans, communication and finished designs are exchanged entirely online.

Pricing and payments

How much does LabMatch cost for dentists?

Nothing. Creating an account, browsing laboratories, sending enquiries and sharing files are all free for dentists. You only ever pay the laboratory's quoted price for a design you have approved.

How much does LabMatch cost for laboratories?

Laboratories join for free: no subscription and no listing fee. LabMatch retains a 10% commission on paid cases, so the laboratory receives 90% of each paid quote. If you don't earn, you don't pay.

When do I pay for a case?

You pay the quoted amount when the laboratory delivers the finished design. The confirmed payment unlocks the design files for download from your case workspace.

Working with a laboratory

How do I send my scans to a laboratory?

Upload your files — STL, PLY, OBJ, DICOM, JPG, PNG or PDF — into the private case workspace. Only you and the laboratory can access them; nothing is sent by email.

Can I compare laboratories before committing?

Yes. Every laboratory has a public profile with a portfolio, indicative prices per unit or per case, and any rush surcharge. You can send enquiries to several laboratories and compare their written quotes before accepting one.

What if I am not happy with a quote or a design?

You are not committed to anything until you accept and pay a quote. Before payment, you can review the delivered design and discuss adjustments with the laboratory in the case workspace.

Why can't I see laboratory websites or contact details?

By design. The whole workflow happens inside LabMatch so that files, messages, quotes and payments stay in one secure place and both sides are protected.
